Can't you just feel the energy and excitement here at the Bay these last few weeks?!!! The walkers are out in full force, the bikers are out riding (including a very special group who dropped by for beer on Memorial Day weekend!), the snow birds are coming back and clam digging is at an all time high. WooHoo---- Birch Bay rocks!
The energy and excitement is high at CJ Wijns as well as we gear up for our fun-filled summer happenings. "Friday's Uncorked" start this Friday night with live music on the patio beginning at 6:30. We will be debuting our special "CJ's Sangria" as well as our new seasonal appetizers and salads. The weather is going to be great so come on down and celebrate the start of the weekend!
We are thrilled to annouce that Kiona Winery, from the Red Mountain region in Washington, will be the featured winery at our Wijn and Dine 5-course Dinner on Saturday, June 13th. They have won national and international awards for their wines. 5 of their highly acclaimed wines will be paired with the equally acclaimed food courses created by our own award winning Executive Chef David. Calling all Wijning Women.......The Sealinks Golf Course is open and that provides us with an opportunity to gather together every Tuesday night for golf, wine and fun! Norene Chrysler, PGA teaching professional, will be holding a golf clinic before we start playing 9 holes, followed by a glass of wine at the Beach House. This starts up Tuesday, June 16th at 5:30 sharp. Every level of player, including beginners are invited to join the Wijning Women Golfers. Cost is $15 plus tax. Please bring your own clubs. Call CJ Wijns, at 360-371-2658 to sign up. Be sure to check out our new gift shop, filled with beach decor, while you are there.
We are weekly getting in new wines for summer and for pairing with barbecues and outdoor dining. If you haven't checked out our wine selection lately, come on in and check out what's new. Rose's are gaining in popularity for summer sipping as well as what the industry calls "white wines for porch sipping". We have them all here. We are also introducing our Recession Relief 4-pack of wine. This month's selection includes a Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio all for $27.95, a savings of $8. What a deal!
Men, if you do not want to make breakfast for your wives or girlfriends on Sunday morning, come on down and let us do it for you. We have French toast with orange butter, sausage and mimosas or coffee for $9.99 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Sunday. Sunday's we serve mimosas all day long for $4.00-perfect for sitting and sipping on the patio.
CJ Wijns' 1st Annual "Wine and Food Fest at the Bay" will be held on Saturday, July 11th. There will be wineries, distributors, food vendors and more providing lots of opportunities for tasting and sampling what our great area has to offer. Live music will provide a perfect backdrop to what will be a day filled with friends, fun, food and drink. Tickets will be sold in advance for a discount or at regular price that day. More details will follow.
